Bob and I have been enjoying five wonderful days camping at Big Bend National Park – a journey that has been on our wish list for quite some time.
We had three days in the beautiful Chisos Basin, where we enjoyed watching the mountains display God’s glory from sunrise to sunset. It was a delightful place to both hike and rest. When the cold and rain descended upon us, we moved to lower elevations and set ourselves up to camp inside our trusty Suburban – so much warmer than our nylon tent! Yesterday and today we enjoyed exploring the desert regions of the park, stopping to take pictures of panoramas that were accented by tumbling clouds. We donned our sweatshirts and rain jackets to enjoy several short hikes, giving us the opportunity to celebrate a different kind of beauty in God’s creation. What a delight it has been to roam and rest together!
We will be heading home soon – in time to handle October orders for Bethlehem Harvest. The information about this month’s bulk food order is included in this newsletter for your convenience.
Bethlehem Harvest is filling an important niche as a provider of bulk whole grain and organic food to the Houston metro area. Help us to grow by sharing our newsletter, website and price list with friends and family who enjoy healthy whole foods lifestyles!
